Angel Mel Selector – DJ / TV Host / Compere

Angel Mel Selector was born and bred in the heart and soul of the Bristol music scene. Coming from the West Country with roots firmly planted in Reggae, Drum & Bass and Trip Hop. Later branching into other areas of underground dance music genres, such as: Acid Jazz, Broken Beat, Garage, Deep and Soulful House.

As a selector, she specialises in playing long sets where she can weave her magic. Choosing the juiciest cuts from a wide cross section of music including; Soul, Funk, Rare Groove, Boogie, Disco, Soulful & Deep Afro House, Garage, Jazz, Broken Beat, Electronica, party anthems and Club Classics.

Self-titled the chameleon, she can play most genres with enthusiasm due to her diverse knowledge of music.

In 2019 she joined forces with Eves’Drop an all female diverse DJ collective with representatives from women across the UK. On a mission to: encourage, support all women to be seen and heard behind the decks and on the mic.

Catch Angel Mel, mainly playing high end bars, clubs, festivals and private events. Eagerly anticipated sets at award winning boutique Festival of the year Shindig Weekender. Suncebeat, Croatia, Gilles Peterson We Out Here festival, Boomtown Festival, World renowned Glastonbury festival both as a DJ and Radio Presenter for Worthy FM.

Continuing on the festival vibe, Angel Mel has cut her teeth hosting /compere major stages at festivals such as the Truth Stage – Glastonbury festival and Hidden Woods and the Grand Central stage at Boomtown Fair and St Pauls Carnival.
